Ok, if you don’t like the pinning idea there is gluing. Just do not get overly wet using this tactic.

Then there are garage sales or yard sales. Many folks will sell off last years outfits so they can get this years new popular model. This is where you can make a killing of spending cents on the dollar kind of deals.

However, there is the cost of running from place to place and with gasoline about $3 a gallon, it may make buying online look cheap compared to maybe finding you favorite costume at some yard sale. And when it is all said and done, you may not even find what you are looking for.

Next you may hit the thrift stores. Once again, you may have a whole lot of of driving to do, lots and lots of searching and you may come up empty handed withing to show for it but a huge gas bill. It is risky business looking for something that may not even exist.

Maybe the cheapest way of getting a holiday costume is to borrow it. Just remember, when you borrow thing they should be returned in at least as good a condition as it was received in. And, if you are borrowing it from within a circle of friends and wearing it that circles party, well, there just may be a case of mistaken identification.

I could tell you joke about that, but maybe some other time, OK?

Make sure any costumes you get for your children fit them reasonably well so there are no accidents. And make sure they can see clearly when out and about on dark nights. Check everything out before the big night out.

Shopping on line may be easiest and cheapest way of getting a holiday outfit. No driving all around town from thrift store to thrift store or yard sale to yard sale. You saved all of that gas and maybe even avoided an accident while you stayed at home.

While you are letting your mouse do the walking, you can hit numerous online stores looking for the best holiday outfits and not cost you a nickle and very little time. You get to avoid all the crowded stores and streets. When you done you can go watch your favorite football game and have an adult beverage or three. How cool is that?
